THE PROBLEM

Our client developed an innovative way to connect fast-growing tech companies with students from top STEM schools across North America. With the rapidly changing nature of technology, they were looking to gain more insight on the types of roles and fields that they could offer candidates through their platform, and consequently what types of clients they could target themselves. Our client was also interested in learning more about how search engine optimization (SEO) and social media can help boost website traffic and brand awareness.

THE APPROACH

To identify potential market segments that our client could target, ACE began by analyzing the positions that students are commonly interested in pursuing, what made an internship fulfilling, and the challenges that they often face in the recruitment process. Next, to determine which fields currently have demand for hiring junior-level talent, ACE identified tech sectors expected to face labour shortages, as well as anticipated trends in digital transformation. To improve brand awareness, ACE determined that blogs were an effective way to improve SEO and recommended relevant keywords to use. ACE also assessed how similar companies have driven website traffic and what strategies our client could implement themselves. Finally, ACE provided a recommendation on a social media platform that could help further our client’s brand awareness.

THE RESULT

Through our extensive research, ACE compiled a list of market segments that our client could target in order to provide a more diverse range of roles to the candidates on their platform. Additionally, ACE suggested SEO strategies, keyword recommendations, and platforms to boost brand awareness.
