History
ACE Consulting Group, previously known as ACE Financial Services, was co-founded in 2009 by a group of four second-year students in the School of Accounting and Finance.
Driven by the desire to gain professional experience before starting their first co-op placements, the co-founders decided to create an organization that would give students the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they were learning in their courses in a real life setting.
In earlier years, ACE Consulting Group’s services focused on three core areas: accounting, consulting and environment. The team worked mostly with student associations and other organizations affiliated with the University of Waterloo to assist with tasks such as bookkeeping, budgeting and other related financial services.
In 2013, the organization rebranded to ACE Consulting Group and has since expanded its clientele to entrepreneurs and start-ups based in the Kitchener-Waterloo region and the main services are now strategy development, market research and operational advisory.
Over the last decade, ACE Consulting Group has made a meaningful impact on the start-up community, through working with over 100 companies. The team is dedicated to helping businesses grow and strives to become one of the best resources available for start-ups in the Kitchener-Waterloo region.
